Aga Jay

Agnieszka Jurgielewicz

(born 1976)

Polish born, Maltese based artist.
Diploma in Architecture and Town Planning in 2000.
Worked as full time Architect for fifteen years but never lost her passion for Art.
Learned the basics of drawing and painting from private tutors and by taking part in scheduled art lessons while studying at the university.
Improved her graphic design skills by taking part in various on-line courses.
Favorite techniques: acrylics, soft pastels, black ink.

“My greatest joy in being an artist and designer is helping people to grow their small businesses, making them proud of what they’ve achieved so far. It doesn’t matter if it’s a logo design, website layout or a 12m long mural.
Painting canvases, especially abstract ones, is a completely different experience. It’s all about enjoying freedom of shapes and textures with a little splash of randomness. It’s very refreshing, almost therapeutic, after years of working on technical drawings. If someone else can enjoy them too I consider it a bonus.”
